A series of experiential Compassion-focused well-being training workshops

The workshops I am running will be incorporating ‘whole-person’ management skills training in raising self-esteem and confidence, and promoting a self-compassionate and mindful approach to a variety of well-being elements. These will include self-compassion, recovering from setbacks, weight management, Sleep, and anxiety- building on previous workshops but with brand new up to date information and techniques. The workshops will be experiential in format, offering empowering group and individual practice in techniques and methods from self-hypnosis, mindful approaches, and positive and transpersonal psychology. I aim to offer a fun and informal yet educational and inspiring experience and I hope to see you there to share my knowledge and skills with you.

The workshops will be either 1.5 hours or a half day. They can be booked as a series of 5 or individually at a cost of £25 per workshop. There will be a 20% discount for anyone who books the whole series in advance. Payment will be required prior to the workshops to secure your place.

To reflect the compassionate nature of sharing, learning, and healing in challenging times, the costs are being kept to a minimum and 10% of all profit will go to Blythe House Hospice www.blythehousehospice, East Cheshire Hospice and Anxiety UK

Important news for employers

From January 2013 I am introducing the ‘corporate well-being management system’. I am offering my services to bring into your company over twelve years of experience and expertise in the field of corporate and individual well-being with a solution-focused, positive psychology approach to empowering and enhancing the skills and strengths of your staff teams.

There are different tailor-made packages on offer to meet the needs of individual companies. Therefore, I am offering my services on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, either ad-hoc on a consultancy basis or on a permanent basis as a well-being trainer and facilitator, also providing psychological support for all members of staff throughout the corporate year.

As a UKCP and CNHC registered therapist with an MSc in consciousness and Transpersonal Psychology I bring with me a highly qualified skill set to support your staff.

I offer:

  • one-to-one counselling and coaching on-site or at my therapy rooms;
  • Group- based education sessions on the benefits of maintaining a ‘whole-person approach’ to well-being- including weight management, alcohol issues, sleep issues, work-life balance, confidence, or any issues that currently impact on your work force that you would like me to address; lunchtime classes teaching deep relaxation techniques and mindful approaches to stress reduction.

My services incorporate aspects of Positive psychology, and a Compassion-focused approach based on the research of Professor Paul Gilbert and Kristin Neff.

If you feel that a ‘Corporate well-being management system’ can support your company as it grows successfully, and to maintain its success, then please get in touch in the first instance for an informal discussion either by email through the ‘contact me’ page on my website; directly on 07753 957371 or in writing to 18a Green lane, Chinley, SK23 6AA.

The first annual transpersonal experiential weekend

-An experiential retreat and meeting of like-minds and fellow travellers on a Transpersonal and Compassion-focused path.

March 8-10 2013.

The Consciousness and Transpersonal Psychology Network are organising an experiential weekend at Buckland Hall, Bwlch, in the Brecon Beacons on 8th-10th March, 2013. This event is a continuation of the annual residential weekend run that formerly provided an experiential aspect to the MSc Consciousness and Transpersonal Psychology degree at Liverpool John Moores University.

The event has an unusual structure in that there is no fixed programme of sessions that we advertise. Rather, attendees sign up and volunteer to run sessions. A schedule is drawn up just prior to the event. There is no obligation to run a session but it is encouraged if one is able to. We co-create the experience 🙂

There is no real limit on the content of sessions but it is understood that they will be related in some way to the subject of the MSc course; that is, to Consciousness Studies or Transpersonal Psychology. Previous weekends have included sessions with Kabbalah meditations, Sikh Symran meditations, Depth Psychology activities, Reflexology, Zen Buddhism ceremonies, Yoga sessions, Chi Gung exercises, Guided Visualisations, and so on.

We hope to attract others with an interest in co-creating and experiencing our wonderful weekend. In this spirit we would like to open this event up to hopefully become an annual experiential weekend for all those interested and involved in the fields of the Transpersonal, and Compassion (which of course is transpersonal in nature). There are many overlaps and much to share.

The venue is Buckland Hall, an exquisite mansion in the peaceful and idyllic setting of the Brecon Beacons in South Wales. All meals and refreshments are provided. The food is vegetarian and always noted as being excellent. The weekend begins Friday 8th March at 5pm and ends Sunday 10th at 4pm.

The cost of the weekend is £188 per person, sharing a twin room with en-suite bathroom. It is possible to have a single room at an extra cost of £52.

An initial deposit of £50 is all that is required to secure a place. Please contact Bob Ham for more information or to reserve a place.
