November 2015 I have a lot to be thankful for and so much to share.

Can I help?

This November morning I am reflecting back over the year in preparation for Saturdays’ Natural awakening day retreat ‘Celebration ‘I have a lot to be thankful for and a lot has changed for me this year as I deepen my spiritual practice and come home to mindful self -compassion daily – learning to accept myself just as I am – with all my imperfections, slip ups, and the inevitable mistakes I often make, and enjoying a flourishing practice, enriched by the warmth of common humanity that I share in my workshops, groups, and retreats. Brene Brown talks about shame and failure in her TED talk “failing brilliantly” which I am sharing here as a reminder that making mistakes is human and is ok!

I also want to give Anxiety UK a special mention here as it is an invaluable charity that has had my support for many years- they do great work and offer so much, working tirelessly to help those struggling with the impact of anxiety and panic. I am wishing Nicky Lidbetter my dear friend and AUK CEO congratulations and every success with the new partnership with headspace!

I am really looking forward to having the privilege of working with Barbara Asatorian this Saturday 21 November as our Natural awakening guest yoga teacher whilst Jill is busy with her move. We will also have some 2016 dates available soon so watch this space!

In the run up to Christmas this year, I have a lot going on and am really thrilled to be facilitating a guided mindful self-compassion silent retreat on November 28 based on the Mindful self-compassion programme ‘retreat’ session. Extended to include lunch and group shared reflection at the end of the day. I am also looking forward to facilitating my third annual ‘winter warmth’ morning workshop on Saturday December 5 which helps to settle anxiety and manage our expectations and be more relaxed during the festive season. Betty and Bob, the stars of ITV Granada reports will also be making their usual guest appearance!

There are a few places left for the above events so get in touch asap if you would like some more information/to attend!

On Saturday January 23  2016 I am offering a morning retreat introduction to MSC for anyone considering undertaking the programme in the spring, and I am also offering a full day retreat and introduction to the Mindful self-Compassion programme on Saturday March 5 2016.

I am also thrilled to be invited back to Beechwood Cancer care centre where I am facilitating 4 full day retreats:  February 27, May 7, 8 October, and 19 November 2016

I am venturing out a little further next year, so I am sowing a few seeds here to give you a ‘heads up’ and an invitation to get in touch and register your interest if you would like more information about a new group programme I am facilitating next year – ‘The men’s group’ is specifically aimed at like- minded male individuals from all ages and backgrounds who would like to learn and practice the valuable lessons provided in the Mindful self-compassion programme- adapted to address anxiety and self- criticism. I am hoping to undertake a pilot study on the first group, so if you would also like to be part of a research study too, drop me a line.
